Terms and conditions
The terms for using the Versien website and its services.
Effective date:
Versien is coming soon. Public purchases, preorders, account access and downloads are not available on this website. The store provisions below describe the arrangements when sales open; this page is not a current offer to sell software.
1. About these terms
These terms cover versien.com and its account and store features, operated by Crockatoo Studio Pty Ltd trading as Versien, ABN 43 678 307 394 (we, us or our).
Business address: 15 Wheelwright Gardens, Wellard WA 6170, Australia.
Our EULA governs the software, included content and licence administration. The seller's purchase terms govern sales. Our Privacy Policy explains personal information handling; accepting these terms is not consent to optional tracking or marketing.
2. Your account
Please provide accurate information, keep account access secure and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for use you authorise, but not for security failures caused by us or our providers.
Account holders and newsletter subscribers must be 16 or over. Under-16s may use the app through a parent or guardian's account. Use the adult's account and contact details.
If you cannot legally enter an agreement, a parent or guardian must accept it for you. Anyone acting for an organisation must have authority to do so.
3. The store
We use Moonbase for our store and customer portal when sales are available. The Moonbase entity named at checkout and on your receipt is the seller and merchant of record. Its Buyer Terms cover payment, taxes, delivery, cancellations and refunds. Versien provides the software licence and product support; our refund position is in EULA section 7.
When sales open, we intend to sell internationally, subject to the countries supported by the store and applicable law.
A preorder bundle includes licences for both Versien Beta and the final version. The beta download is available in your account immediately after confirmed purchase; the final-version download will be added to your account at launch, without another purchase. Beta access ends at final launch, while your full-version licence continues. Versien Beta has no trial and allows one activated device and up to three days offline after successful online validation, subject to its licence ending. The EULA explains the licence conditions. Any specific delivery commitments made with the preorder offer remain effective, together with the seller's terms and your mandatory consumer rights.
Please check product requirements, price and currency before ordering, and ask us if anything is unclear. For payment or refund issues, you can contact the seller or come to us for help. Neither party's legal obligations are reduced by this arrangement.
4. Website use and content
Do not use the website unlawfully, infringe others' rights, access accounts without permission, bypass security or disrupt the service.
Website materials belong to us or our licensors. You may view them, share links and make reasonable copies for your own reference. Other reuse needs permission unless allowed by law or an applicable licence. This does not restrict permissions granted by the EULA. Do not imply our endorsement without permission.
5. Information and availability
We take reasonable care with website information but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may update content and correct errors without overriding commitments or representations you are legally entitled to rely on. Other websites and services have their own terms.
6. Access restrictions
We may proportionately restrict access to address a material breach, fraud, unlawful activity or a security threat. Where practicable, we will give notice explaining the issue and an opportunity to resolve it, and restore access when the grounds no longer apply.
Restrictions affecting software downloads, activation or validation must also comply with the EULA and applicable law. A website-only breach does not independently terminate a software licence.
7. Your rights and our responsibility
Nothing here limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable Australian Consumer Law and mandatory consumer rights in your country.
Subject to those rights, we are not liable for website losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or the part of a loss caused by your misuse. This does not limit liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or death or personal injury caused by negligence. The EULA addresses software-related liability.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms by publishing a dated version. We will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting ongoing account use and obtain agreement where required. Changes do not retrospectively reduce existing purchase or licence rights.
Western Australian law applies, with non-exclusive jurisdiction in its courts, subject to your mandatory local protections and court rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest continues where possible.
